Acabou a 2ª edição do alkantara festival. Foi sem dúvida um dos grandes eventos culturais desta temporada: durante 18 dias o festival apresentou 26 espectáculos diferentes, em 17 salas e espaços espalhados pela cidade de Lisboa. O público apareceu em grande número e 50 das 72 sessões esgotaram.

O ambiente foi de festa e de encontro: o festival trouxe à Lisboa mais de 160 artistas dos cinco continentes e entre o público contámos com mais de 60 directores de teatros, programadores de festivais e críticos estrangeiros. Mais uma vez, Lisboa foi palco de um dos maiores festivais de artes performativas na Europa.

A realização do alkantara festival foi possível graças ao importante contributo dos co-produtores, patrocinadores, apoiantes e colaboradores, que contribuíram de forma decisiva para o sucesso do evento. The second edition of alkantara festival has come to an end. It was without a doubt one of the major cultural events of the season in Portugal: between May 22nd and June 8th, the festival presented 26 different shows in 17 venues and spaces throughout Lisbon. The public showed up in large numbers and 50 of the 72 sessions sold out.

The ambiente was one of celebration and encounter: the festival brought to Lisbon over 160 artists from the five continents and amongst the public we counted more than 60 theatre directors, festival curators and critics from abroad. Once again, Lisbon hosted one of Europes major performing arts festivals.

alkantara festival was made possible thanks to the support of co-producers, sponsors, supporters and collaborators, who contributed in a decisive way to the success of the event.
